چکیده

Hash functions are the most widespread among all cryptographic primitives, and are currently used in multiple cryptographic schemes and in security protocols. This paper presents a new Secure Hash Algorithm called (SHA-192). It uses a famous secure hash algorithm given by the National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST).The basic design of SHA192 is to have the output length of 192.The SHA-192 has been designed to satisfy the different level of enhanced security and to resist the advanced SHA attacks. The security analysis of the SHA-192 is compared to the old one given by NIST and gives more security and excellent results as shown in our discussion. In this paper the digital signature algorithm which is given by NIST has been modified using the proposed algorithms SHA-192. Using proposed SHA-192 hash algorithm a new digital signature schemes is also proposed. The SHA-192 can be used in many applications such s public key cryptosystem, digital signcryption, message authentication code, random generator and in security architecture of upcoming wireless devices like software defined radio etc.

A Novel Patch-Based Digital Signature

In this paper a new patch-based digital signature (DS) is proposed. The proposed approach similar to steganography methods hides the secure message in a host image. However, it uses a patch-based key to encode/decode the data like cryptography approaches. Both the host image and key patches are randomly initialized. The proposed approach consists of encoding and decoding algorithms. The encodin...

Practical forward secure signatures using minimal security assumptions

Digital signatures are one of the most important cryptographic primitives in practice. They are an enabling technology for eCommerce and eGovernment applications and they are used to distribute software updates over the Internet in a secure way. In this work we introduce two new digital signature schemes: XMSS and its extension XMSS . We present security proofs for both schemes in the standard ...

Philip Lafrance uWaterloo Thesis

Cryptographers and security experts around the world have been awakened to the reality that one day (potentially soon) large-scale quantum computers may be available. Most of the public-key cryptosystems employed today on the Internet, in both software and in hardware, are based on number-theoretic problems which are thought to be intractable on a classical (non-quantum) computer and hence are ...

Immunizing Public Key Cryptosystems against Chosen Ciphertext Attacks 1

This paper presents three methods for strengthening public key cryptosys-tems in such a way that they become secure against adaptively chosen ciphertext attacks. In an adaptively chosen ciphertext attack, an attacker can query the deciphering algorithm with any ciphertexts, except for the exact object cipher-text to be cryptanalyzed. The rst strengthening method is based on the use of one-way h...
